About the Role

We’re looking for a compassionate, creative Occupational Therapist to join our pediatric team. In this role, you’ll provide play‑based, family‑centered therapy that helps children build essential skills for daily living, motor development, and sensory integration. You’ll collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team—as well as ABA centers and local preschools—to create individualized treatment plans and support meaningful progress across home, school, and community settings. This position offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact by helping children grow with confidence, curiosity, and joy.

Requirements


1. Advanced Education

  • Completion of a Doctorate/Masters in Occupational Therapy (OT).

2. Clinical Experience

  • Supervised clinical hours specifically focused on pediatric settings.

  • Experience with various pediatric populations, including those with developmental delays, sensory processing disorders, and physical disabilities.

3. Certification and Licensure

  • Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).

  • State licensure from the Georgia State Board of Occupational Therapy, which requires passing the NBCOT exam.

4. Specializations

  • Preferred a specialty certification in areas such as sensory integration, autism spectrum disorders, or neurodevelopmental disorders.

5. Background Checks

  • Completion of a criminal background check as required by state regulations for working with children.

  • Verification of any history of disciplinary actions or malpractice claims.

7. Skills Development

  • Training in communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with children and their families.

  • Knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive equipment used in pediatric therapy.
