About the Role

We are looking for a passionate Physical Therapist to work with children in a fun, supportive, and family-centered environment. You’ll focus on enhancing gross motor skills, strength, balance, and coordination to help children reach their developmental milestones. Collaborate with a dedicated team to create individualized plans that promote growth and independence.

Requirements

1. Education & Credentials

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program

  • Active state Physical Therapy license (or eligibility for licensure)

  • CPR/First Aid certification (commonly required in pediatric settings)

  • Additional pediatric certifications (e.g., NDT, PCS) are a plus but not required

2. Clinical Skills & Experience

  • Experience working with infants, toddlers, children, and adolescents

  • Strong understanding of pediatric motor development and motor learning principles

  • Ability to evaluate and treat a wide range of conditions, including developmental delays, neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, torticollis, gait abnormalities, and genetic syndromes

  • Proficiency in conducting standardized assessments and developing individualized treatment plans

  • Familiarity with evidence‑based pediatric therapy approaches and play‑based intervention strategies

  • Experience with documentation, progress reporting, and treatment planning

3. Professional Qualities

  • Excellent communication skills with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary team members

  • Ability to create a fun, motivating, child‑centered therapy environment

  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills

  • Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about working with children

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education

4. Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in outpatient pediatrics, early intervention, or school‑based settings

  • Knowledge of adaptive equipment, orthotics, and mobility devices

  • Experience collaborating with speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other providers

  • Bilingual skills (a plus but not required)
